I’m so excited about the direction that P.A.C.E. is going and the opportunities I’ve had to share Promoting Active Children Everywhere with others! The school year is just getting underway and we already have about 1,300 kids registered for P.A.C.E. Trek 2009 – my next journey. That will be a three-week, 500-mile trek through Alaska – where I grew up as a boy. It will be between April 22 and May 13, 2009 and FREE registration is now open at www.pacetrek.com. Please pass this along to any teachers, parents, coaches and administrators that you think may be interested!

The BIG news of this month’s update is that NOW ADULTS CAN BE INVOLVED in these virtual treks for getting more healthy and fit! P.A.C.E. has always been about getting kids up off the couch, active and learning. However, adults play a crucial role in influencing and inspiring children toward better fitness. So, I’ve created S.T.E.P. There, a way for adults to be involved by creating teams (and they can even include kids if they want to!).
